IN THIS LESSON - GOING SOCIAL

Extend your reach

Sharing your message on social media is crucial for expanding your reach and building meaningful connections with your audience. It allows you to communicate your brand’s value in real time, engage directly with potential customers, and cultivate a loyal community. Social media platforms amplify your voice beyond traditional boundaries, creating opportunities for viral growth and increased visibility. In a competitive digital landscape, consistently sharing your message ensures your brand remains relevant, top-of-mind, and drives measurable results that contribute to your overall success.

Connecting social accounts

Connecting your social media accounts to your site will enable you to:

  • Display content from your social profiles on your site.

  • Automatically share content from your site when you publish it.

As the world of social media continues to change and evolve, the ability to push or pull information may change from time to time.

Add a social image to represent your brand

OK, what is a social image you ask?

A Social Share Image is an image that is displayed when site visitors share your website on social media, in text messaging, and sometimes in emails and other correspondence.

This is not a mandatory add, but it adds appeal and interest when shared. It may also help relay the vibe of your site, adding interest.

There are two types of social sharing images:

  1. Social sharing logo - Represents your whole site.

  2. Alternate Social Sharing Image - Represents individual pages or collection items, like blog posts, products, events, and portfolio sub-pages. Not currently available for gallery images or album tracks.

Adding social icons

Add social links to display social icons to your visitors, helping them find you wherever you maintain a presence on the web. Icons include logos for many common platforms, like Facebook, Instagram, and X, formerly known as Twitter.

You can also add link or mail icons that lead to any website or email address.
