Content
Featured Image - Add a featured image that will display in summary blocks, etc.
Excerpt - Add an excerpt to give readers a sense of the full post.
Post URL - (Optional) Edit the post's URL slug.
Author - Set the post's author. This is especially important if you are working with a team or group of writers.
Source URL - If applicable, add and link to a source URL.
Options
Status - Set the post's publication status.
Tags/Categories - Add tags and categorize your post to organize based on its content. If your posts are included on other pages, this will assist with cross reference.
Comments - Enable or disable comments or go to advanced comment settings.
Featured post - Set it as a featured post if your post is added to other pages on your site and want to emphasize this post.
SEO Options
SEO Title - Add an SEO title to help search engines… keep it short!
SEO Description - Add an SEO description to help search engines find and list your content… keep it short!
Social Image
Optional: When your post is shared on social media, an image is displayed circling back to your post. Either your logo or a social share image installed on your site will be used. You can also use a “Featured Image”.
You may add an Alternate social sharing image to display when the post is shared.
Share
Create email draft - If you have purchased Squarespace Email Campaigns, you can click to create an email draft. This will place your blog info into a draft email saving you the time of cross posting.
Social media - If you have connected social media accounts to your website that allows you to push content, you can share your post automatically when you publish your post.
Location
Optional: In the Address fields, add a location that corresponds to your blog post. This is important if your post refers to a specific location, city, or business.
